Educational Outreach
TRAINING COURSES 2009
The Educational Outreach is a multi-disciplinary
team which works within an inclusive model of service provision
for mainstream school aged children with an autism spectrum
disorder.
Parents and carers, teachers, special support personnel and other professionals will all benefit from attending the EO courses which offer practical, evidence-based interventions and opportunities for problem-solving and discussion. Courses are presented by members of the EO and BIS teams.

The normal development issues of adolescence
Specific challenges of adolescence faced by young people with HFA/Asperger's disorder

Problems presented by the curriculum, teaching styles and school procedures
Difficulties forming friendships and coping with a variety of relationships including peers, teachers and parents
